Pics From Last Night

Starting a new thing here. I'm going to upload embarrassing/funny photos for people to see and comment on. Kind of like text from last night, except with pictures.

Here's one to start it off.

Learning How to Smile

Five miles outside of vegas when we broke down
Threw my keys inside the window and we never looked back
Got all drunk and sloppy on a greyhound bus
We passed out, all them losers they were laughing at us
I will never let them break your heart
No I will never let them break me

We got lost in phoenix, seemed like such a long time
Seven months of livin swimming on those thin white lines
Did some time for sellin acid to the wrong guy
Life just keeps on gettin smaller and we never ask why

Why there is no perfect place, yes I know this is true
Im just learning how to smile
Thats not easy to do
I know there will come a day
When we can leave and just go runnin away

We was broke outside of philly when the storms came
I was working in new jersey, hitchin rides in the rain
You was happy talkin dirty at that phone sex place
Life just keeps on gettin weirder for us every day

You say there is no perfect place, I say I know this is true
We are just learning how to smile
Thats not easy to do
We both live for the day
When we can run away

Oh baby we can leave and run away
Yes we can leave this place and run away
We can leave it all behind like we do every time
Yes we both live for the day
When we can leave and just go runnin away

No I will never let it break your heart
No I will never let it break me

Five miles outside of vegas, five years down the line
We got married in the desert and the sunshine
I cant handle how the hell it happens every day
When you smile and touch my face
You make it all just go away

Yes I know there aint no finish line, I know this never ends
But Im just learning how to fall, climb back up again
I know there is nothing perfect, I know there is nothing new
We are just learning how to live together, me and you
You know I live for the day
When you say baby lets just run away

Oh baby we can leave and run away
Yes we can leave this place and run away
Baby we can leave and run away
We can leave this place and run away
- Everclear

That's my new favorite song. It may not be catchy, it may not have the greatest guitar rift in the world, but I can't get over the lyrics. I want to live that song. I want to throw the keys inside the window and never look back. Who hasn't paid their dues, done their wrongs? Why not just throw it all away and start over, create a new, exciting life. In Vegas no less. This isn't to say that I'm going to walk out of my dorm as soon as I finish typing this post and hand my computer to the next homeless man I see. I'm not going to call my best friends and tell them I'm leaving, that I'll write to them, and then toss my cell phone off the next overpass. But how exciting would that be? Just leave it all behind. Sure, my parents would flip, but none of that would matter. I could do whatever I want whenever I want. I'd take all the money I have and withdraw it, throw it in a duffelbag and hitchhike with a sign that says nothing but "West." Now that's all an exaggeration, at least for me. But I think what everyone has to do is live for the now, not to worry about what's going to happen in an hour, a week, or a year. Live all out, balls to the wall. So why not? Yeah, the hitchhike can wait for another day, but for now, lets live for the day when we can run away.

Everclear is by far my favorite band. I love every single one of their songs. Ever since I listened to my first Everclear album, I've been looking to go to one of their concerts, but I can never find one. I look at least once a week. Today, I found out that they're playing about an hour from my house. 26 bucks. Except, I'm at college. I want to shoot myself. They might be the greatest band ever.

Last Day in NYC

its my last day in new york before i go away to school. not in the mood to write about it so im going to talk about something different.

i hate the little league world series. especially now. on my last day i wake up and turn the TV to channel 728 for a healthy dose of SportsCenter in HD. But as I take my first bite of scrambled eggs, I notice that it is not SC that is streaming through my television, but rather a baseball game. Now why is there a baseball game on at 11:30 AM, I think to myself. A repeat, perhaps? No, it is not. It is the first game of the tournament, a game between Mexico and Canada. Mexico and Canada. At least put this on ESPN2. But no. I switch to ESPN2 to see if SC is on there, but instead it is the Manchester United game. Why, oh why, is there a Manchester United game on ESPN2 this morning? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against soccer, and if i had to pick any team, ManU would be my favorite. But I would really like to see how crappy Brett Favre did yesterday. And I would really like to see the highlights of the Met game I watched yesterday. (Why do I want to see those highlights once more? My Mets hardly ever win and I like to savor it, okay?) Nevetheless, I am forced to watch 12 year olds play an all but meaningless game of baseball, poorly, I might add. I usually love my scrambled eggs, sausage, and cinnamon rolls, but today, nothing was the same. So thank you, LLWS, for ruining my breakfast, and possibly my last day.

My Dream Night With Megan Fox

So. Someday I'm going to go out on the most amazing date with Megan Fox. It's going to be amazing. I'm going to come over to her house and she's going to be sitting on her couch waiting for me. I'll walk in and give her a kiss hello. Well sit and talk for a few minutes then lie on the couch together and watch TV for a little bit. Then, were going to enjoy an excellent dinner (preferably some kind of pasta with vodka sauce). Finally, we will drive to the beach and park by the water, listening to music on her iPod, and just acting just so perfect. I'm soo looking forward to this. Megan doesn't know about this yet, but hopefully when she reads this she won't be able to resist. Ughh Megan <33
